The greatest festival of the year is nearly upon us! The Myddleton Road Summer Festival returns on Sunday July 7th, 12-6pm.
There will be over 60 stallholders with amazing street food, produce, crafts and vintage. Bars with craft beer, Pimms, wines and cocktails. Live music stage with many local acts and DJs. Wellness area with free demos by the best local instructors for adults and children. Fun fair rides. Giant games, kids activities and more!
And if you fancy helping out on the day, we always need an extra pair of hands! Email us if you’re interested.
So, GTR, the railway company that operates through Bowes Park station, is offering £80,000 to fund station improvements from a passenger benefit fund set up following the disruption resulting from the introduction of the new timetable in May 2018.
Yes, you read that right,Bowes Park will get £80,000 to improve the station for passengers!
GTR have asked local for ideas. The deadline is July 31st.

After a big fundraising drive, a brand new outdoor table tennis table has been installed in the Myddleton Road Community Gym. Hurrah!
Shaftesbury Hall has been nominated for the New London Architecture Awards 2019 in the ‘conservation and retrofit’ category. Woohoo!
The Local Government Boundary Commission for England is asking local people and organisations to comment on their draft recommendations for new ward boundaries across Haringey Council.
The proposed changes would actually see Myddleton Road split in half across two wards: Woodside and Bounds Green.

And on Tuesday July 23rd, Somebody Else’s Troubles will be playing acoustic Americana, Country, Folk and Rock ‘n’ Roll at Bohem Taproom. It will be their one-year anniversary of playing at our favourite local craft Czech beer taproom!
