OCTOBER Newsletter

Welcome to the October newsletter from We Love Myddleton Road.

It’s autumn, so the Myddleton Road Community Garden is holding its annual autumn clean-up on October 12th, 11am-1pm. Do pop along to give them a hand. No experience or tools are necessary, there will be coffee and homemade cakes, and it’s a great opportunity to meet your neighbours.

Having started life in Bowes Park, the fantastic Bohem Brewery continue ever onwards and upwards, and this month had their top tipple ‘Amos’ reviewed on Channel 4’s ‘Sunday Brunch’.

Of course, if you’d like to try Amos on tap, you can visit the glorious Bohem Taproom at No. 120, Myddleton Road.

Sunday October 6th sees the first Myddleton Road Market of the Autumn, taking place 11am-4pm. Invite your friends here

Over at The Step, the Rosina Hepburn Quintet will be performing, 8.15pm on Friday October 25th. Their repertoire draws from the Great American Songbook, celebrating the music of the Golden Age of Jazz.

On October 30th, it’s the Leafy Bean Book Club at 7pm. This month’s book is ‘Old Baggage’ by Lissa Evans.

After a barnstorming first outing, the Local Affordable Art Fair returns on Saturday 9th November, 12pm-6pm, taking place once again in Shaftesbury Hall right by Bowes Park station. Find out more here.

Enjoy these autumnal days!
